How is it supposed to work?
Propecia consists of a pill taken once per day. Clinical trials have shown Propecia to work on the top of the head and middle-front of the head only; the drug (Finasteride) blocks the formation of DHT in the scalp. Propecia’s Web site cites a study where 86% of men using the medication maintained or grew new hair while using Propecia, while on 42% of men using a placebo (sugar pill) reported the same.
